We are delighted that despite the recent drop in temperatures, the children have remained healthy and continued to enjoy their time at school.
We have observed changes in the social dynamics as the children grow older and become more aware of their own and others’ feelings. We have been focusing on the importance of giving friends personal space, even when they are loved very much, and recognising that friends may sometimes need time alone.
One day, we took a look at some knitting needles. Some of us were familiar with them, but we all watched in awe as a strip of knitting grew longer in front of our eyes. A favourite story we enjoyed recently was Extra Yarn by Mac Barnett, which intrigued us all with Anabelle's magical ball of yarn that never ran out! It was exciting to see how a ball of yarn and two knitting needles can be transformed into a scarf or sweater.
The Snowmen returned to Dandelion this year! Following last year’s fun, the children requested to make snowman onigiri (rice balls) again. Though slightly wobbly, all the snowmen looked happy and warm with their nori (seaweed) smiles and carrot scarves.
We also shared a peaceful moment lighting up the leaf lanterns we created by sticking leaves onto the lanterns and braiding handles. It was heartwarming to witness the older children assisting the younger ones with the braiding, a beautiful example of the older children caring for the younger ones, which is an integral part of the Montessori classroom.

Thank you, parents, for your continued support. And to all our dandelions, we love watching you grow into caring, resilient, and curious individuals. We cherish all your stories, comments, and descriptions of your lives both at school and beyond.
We wish you all a wonderful holiday and look forward to seeing you back at school in January!
